后元音(bakre):a o u å
long a: ‘a’ in English ‘father’, ‘dark’. Eg. hat
short a: open ‘a’ in northern English ‘hat’, ‘hand’. Eg. hatt
long å: ‘a’ in English ‘all’ but with lip-rounding. Eg. mås
short å: ‘o’ in English ‘hot’. eg. måste
long o: ‘oo’ in English ‘doom’, ‘moon’ with extreme lip-rounding and w-like end-phase. Eg. bot
short o: ‘oo’ in English ‘book’ with slightly less extreme lip-rounding. Eg. bott
long u: Something like ‘u’ in French ‘lu’ but with lip-rounding and w-like end-phase. Eg. ful
short u: ‘u’ in English ‘full’, lax lip-rounding. Eg. full
